Professional Bio

Anthony “Tony” Paquette is a senior executive with over two decades of diverse leadership experience at top financial institutions across banking, fintech, alternative asset management, and digital assets.   He is currently the Chief Financial Officer at Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: GLXY), a global leader in digital assets and AI data centers. He joined as CFO in January 2025, and led the company through its initial US listing and public equity offering. Previously, Tony served as the Chief Financial Officer of Point72, an alternative asset manager with $35B+ in assets under management and 3,000+ employees globally.

Before joining Point72, Tony was a Business Unit Leader at Social Finance (SoFi), a FinTech company based in San Francisco, where he led the federal banking charter application process, oversaw treasury, risk, and regulatory operations, and spearheaded international expansion. Prior to SoFi, he was a Managing Director in Corporate Treasury at JP Morgan Chase in New York, where he led global funding and liability management, and served as a portfolio manager in the Chief Investment Office. Before JP Morgan, Tony was a Managing Director at Bank of America in Charlotte, NC, and he began his career as a technology research analyst at Goldman Sachs.

Beyond his career in business, Tony actively contributes as a board member for several nonprofits, including Scholars of Finance, and the Concussion & CTE Foundation, and serves as a strategic advisor to several fintech startups. He previously served on the boards of Managed Funds Association (MFA), Junior Achievement of New York, and Brown University President’s Advisory Council on Athletics.

Tony earned a double major in Business Economics and Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University, where he played Varsity Football, and won an Ivy League Championship in 1999. He has been a CFA Charterholder since 2003.

Tony resides in Darien, CT with his wife, Amber, and their three children. An avid endurance sport athlete, he enjoys coaching and mentoring young people, supporting military and veterans causes, and exploring global destinations with his family.
